Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing Blackwood Music School as your tuition provider.

The reason for these terms and conditions is to ensure that the standard of our teaching remains at a high level. Our teachers all work professionally in the music industry, and rely on tuition as a major source of income.

Missed lessons without prior notice means their income fluctuates. Having this policy in place will reward you with the best tuition available.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

 Terms and Conditions

 1.   Term tuition fees must either: be paid in full prior to commencement of first lesson, or paid up one week in advance. Your lesson time may be cancelled if this is not adhered to.

 2.   A maximum of 2 credits (make-up lessons) will be given per term for lessons missed, providing   24hrs notice is given.

 3.   Make up lessons must be used within the term the absence occurred. Lessons will be forfeited after this time, unless prior arrangements have been made.

 4.   Students who wish to book their lessons on a weekly basis will be given priority over fortnightly students. However, fortnightly students will be given first opportunity to change to weekly if the situation arises.

 5.   We reserve the right to give your lesson time to somebody else if you miss 2 lessons in a row and do not inform us. You will also be charged for those lessons unless alternative arrangements have been made. Payment for any missed lessons must be made prior to continuation of tuition.

 6.   If your teacher is away for any reason you will be given a credit on your next lesson or alternatively we will try to call in another teacher to take over your lesson for that time.

 7.   No credit is given for lessons missed during the last week of term.

 8.   If you wish to cancel your tuition, you must advise us, with a minimum of two week’s notice.

 9.   All instrument hire must be paid for to end of term in advance. (No hire fee will be charged during the 2 week school holidays, however, Christmas holidays will attract the regular weekly rate after the first two weeks).

Payments can be made at the Blackwood Music School between 2pm and 8pm on weekdays, and 10am and 2pm Saturdays. Credit card payments can also be made via the phone during the above hours.

Types of payment acceptable are: Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS, most credit cards, and direct deposit.
